This is a shot of my car’s outside temperature gauge taken with my cameraphone.  It should be noted that my car’s gauge usually underestimates the real temperature by about 3 degrees.  With the humidity here, the heat index has been into the hundred-and-teens lately!

I know it is nothing compared to what my peers are dealing with in the sandbox, but it’s still damn hot.  Prego-Shannon spends a lot of time indoors, and I drink a few gallons of water before my flights (and then sweat out 2 gallons by the time I take off).

Fall cannot come soon enough to South Texas as far as I’m concerned.  Too bad that won’t happen until late November.
